Workshop 1: Sustainability (April 9th, 2017)

WHAT SHOULD WE DO WITH SUSTAINABILITY? HOW, AS SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS, CAN WE IMPACT THE CHALLENGES WE AIM TO SOLVE? HOW CAN WE INCORPORATE SUSTAINABLE LEADERSHIP BOTH INSIDE AND OUT, INTO OUR CORE BUSINESS AND OUR EVERYDAY LIFE?

We are looking for 15 courageous founders who want to obtain the tools necessary to apply strategic sustainability to their start up and increase their social impact. In the morning we will dive into systems thinking and scientifically based sustainability principles (and explain why and how they work). In the afternoon we will connect these to your start-up and share a practical tool to strategically plan towards sustainability. We will close the day with clear takeaways for the "low-hanging fruit" of your startup, long term goals, and the pathway to get there.

FROM THIS WORKSHOP, YOU WILL TAKEAWAY...

  • A clear analysis of your business idea and/or enterprise using the Framework for Strategic Sustainable Development.
  • Tools for how to apply systems thinking in your own start-up to scale up your social impact.
  • An experience of effective teamwork practices and tools you can directly apply with your team.
  • A deeper connection to and understanding of sustainability and the systems you are part of.

Workshop 2: Leadership (April 10th, 2017)

HOW DO YOU DO WHAT YOU LOVE, CONTRIBUTE TO SOCIETY, AND MAKE IT YOUR LIVING? LEARN HOW TO NAVIGATE THE COMPLEXITY BEHIND OUR DAILY ACTIONS WHILE BETTER ALIGNING THEM WITH OUR INNER SELVES. FIND YOUR OWN CONTRIBUTION IN SHIFTING OUR SOCIETY TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE.

This intense one day training will bring together sustainability and leadership practices using theory and practice, the power of storytelling and inspiring examples. We will look into what is needed in the world now: what does meaningful work look and feel like? What kind of leadership is needed in our organisations and communities? How do we build communities in a world that seems to be characterized by conflict? In the afternoon, we will touch on topics of vulnerability, creativity, and using your full potential through meaningful conversation and reflection. You will leave with your personal next wise step towards stepping into your own leadership more fully. You'll have the opportunity to continue the conversation with your fellow students over drinks after the program.

From this workshop, you will takeaway...

  • Clarity about what matters most to you and how you can bring more of that into your work and everyday life.
  • A practice in deep listening as a gateway for skillful engagement with others.
  • A strengthened capacity for clarity, connection and courage through self-awareness.
  • A deeper connection to yourself, your motivation and the people you work with.
